Sophia Liu

Current appointments

Sophia Liu, Ph.D. is an Early Independence Fellow and core faculty member at the Ragon Institute of Mass General Brigham, MIT, and Harvard and Associate Faculty at the Broad Institute.

Training and research

Dr. Liu received her bachelor's degree from MIT in Chemical-Biological Engineering and her Ph.D. from Harvard University in Biophysics in Fei Chen's lab at the Broad Institute, where her research centered on developing methods to study cell interactions and dynamics.

Recognition

Dr. Liu has received numerous awards, including being named a Forbes 30 Under 30, and her research has been supported by the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program, Impetus Grants, and BroadIgnite.
